White Mirrors
Tarantulas, commonly one of the most feared spiders, once crossed my path for observation. To my surprise, it displayed a calm and composed demeanor, far from the terrifying vampire often portrayed in movies .
The word "tarantula" originates from European folklore, specifically associated with the "tarantella" dance. This dance was believed to cure the bite of the Mediterranean wolf spider, also known as the "tarantola." However, this connection between the dance and spider bites is now considered more of a cultural myth than a medical fact.
"Those white eyes are probably light-sensitive receptors... a perfect weapon on a moonlit day."
Then started wondering about the eyes how they might have evolved through years as they are Given their nocturnal hunting habits, our artificial light sources may have been excessively intense for them. It's ironic how in the pursuit of photography we subject them to such tortures.
The more enthusiasm we possess in showcasing these natural wonders to others, the more it might seem foreign in their journals.
